Instructions for using the TI-83 in a probabilities and statistics class include storing data in lists such as L1 or L2 and using the 1-varStat or 2-varStat functions to analyze the data. Users can also graphically display data by enabling plots in the second "Y=" menu and selecting appropriate X-list or Y-list options. For further guidance, reference materials are available on the TI website. Mastering these functions can simplify the process of handling statistical data. Familiarity with these tools enhances the overall learning experience in statistics.

Does anyone have instructions on the use of the TI-83 for a probabilities and stats class.
i used to have the same problem... what i will normally do is that if there is a lot of data, just store it in L1, or L2 and so forth, then do 1-varStat to get certain details about that list, or 2-varStat if there's 2 lines of data THAT are parallel to each other... you can also graphicly display the data by going to second "Y=" and turning on the plots and inserting X-list or Y-list as L1 or L2... once you get a hang of it, its pretty easy

Can't you find all kinds of reference works for the TI-83 on the TI website? Look at TI.com
The textbook is being fine. I asked the forum for some introduction to topology, and decided to start with Simmon`s. This naive question is due to ignorance of the words into and onto, which I don't distinguish in Spanish. A quick browsing sugests I'm right.
