3D computer model I made of the RBMK-1000 reactor

Here are screenshots of a 3D model I made using a program called Blender, of the RBMK-1000 "Chernobyl-type" nuclear reactor and reactor hall.

It's still a work-in-progress and not yet finished.

If you could animate that and couple it up with real or simulated telemetry data, it would make a marvelous training/operations aid.

Here is a video fly-through I made of it.



It's not finished yet, I still need to add the top part of the refueling crane, and all sorts of miscellaneous equipment and machinery.

There's also a few inaccuracies that I need to fix, like the roof being flat and not curved.
