SUMMARY

The discussion centers on finding alternative books to Bekefi's and Barrett's "Electromagnetic Vibrations, Waves, Radiation," particularly those at a higher academic level. Recommended resources include Richard Fitzpatrick's "Classical Electromagnetism," available in two formats, and "Electromagnetic Fields and Energy" by Herman A. Haus and James R. Melcher. These texts provide a more advanced understanding of electromagnetism, suitable for readers seeking deeper insights into the subject.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of classical electromagnetism concepts
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic wave theory
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical methods in physics
  • Experience with academic-level physics textbooks
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore Richard Fitzpatrick's "Classical Electromagnetism" for intermediate-level insights
  • Study "Electromagnetic Fields and Energy" by Herman A. Haus and James R. Melcher for advanced concepts
  • Review lecture notes from the University of Texas on electromagnetism
  • Investigate additional resources on electromagnetic wave propagation and radiation theory
USEFUL FOR

Students, educators, and researchers in physics, particularly those focusing on electromagnetism and seeking advanced literature in the field.

The book is expensive, so I want a book like Bekefi's and Barrett's Electromagnetic Vibrations,Waves,Radiation. Preferably at a higher level than this book.
Thank you!
