SUMMARY

The discussion centers on calculating the water height in a pipeline connecting tank A to tank B, with tank B initially empty. Participants emphasize that the water heights will equalize between the two tanks once the system is in equilibrium. The lack of responses indicates a need for clearer phrasing of the original question to facilitate better understanding and assistance.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics principles
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with pressure and height relationships in fluid mechanics
  • Experience with water flow calculations
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the principles of hydrostatic pressure and its effect on fluid height
  • Learn about the Bernoulli equation and its applications in pipeline design
  • Explore methods for calculating flow rates in open and closed systems
  • Investigate the impact of pipe diameter and length on water flow between tanks
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, hydrologists, and anyone involved in designing or analyzing water distribution systems will benefit from this discussion.

I am designing a water pipeline from tank A to tank B. assuming tank B is empty, how can i calculate the water height going out from the pipe?

I see over 200 have looked and not answered...I suspect like me they don't know what you are asking.

You know the heights will equalize between the two tanks, right?

Can you rephrase your question?
