Homework Statement
The welded joint shown below has the following geometric characteristic : s=8 mm h=120 mm b=300 mm, a=10 mm, the joint is made of steel S355 (with fu=510 Mpa)and is loaded with two external forces P1=8KN et P2=8KN (look at the image below)
Calculate:
-The vertical reaction acting on the most critical weld line?
-the horizontal reaction acting on the most critical weld line?
