What is the advantage/disadvantage of Cobalt X-ray tube over Copper X-ray tube in a X-Ray diffractometer

Copper tube has a longer wavelength and this will "move" the peak towards larger angles (compared with Co). However the Cu radiation is scattered strongly by iron so it is not good for iron compounds (will give very large background).
