Creating a Maglev Track using Electromagnets?

Click For Summary
Creating a circular maglev track using electromagnets involves designing a system that allows for adjustable magnetic field strength through coding. There is limited literature on toroidal electromagnets, leading to skepticism about their effectiveness in this application. However, existing examples, such as those demonstrated in a referenced YouTube video, suggest that it is feasible. The discussion emphasizes the need for innovative approaches to overcome the challenges of implementing such a system. Overall, the project aims to enhance control over maglev technology.

Hi All,

I was wondering how I would go about creating a circular maglev track using electromagnets? The idea is to have more control over it and to eventually write a piece of code that would allow changes in the strength of the magnetic field potentially? I was just wondering how it would work as there isn't much literature about toroidal electromagnets - and everything is saying that it wouldn't work properly.

Many thanks in advance!
