Difference between induced emf and counter emf

What is the difference between induced electromotive force and counter electromotive force? The way they are generated seems the same to me. Can someone tell me the difference and how they are different?

Same thing. Counter-emf is generated when a motor is running & acting like a generator in consequence. An unloaded motor, when driven, similarly acts like a generator, generating emf. The back emf cancels the applied emf and no current Is drawn.

A motor, when stalled, does not generate any back emf, thus uses max. current.
