This semester, I have a course which is a basic introduction to digital technology. I want to start a general discussion/tutorial on this subject. More specifically, some topics which I would like to cover in this discussion are,
  • Uniform Quantisation
  • Sampling
  • Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
  • Analog to Digital Convertors
  • Digital to Analog Convertors
  • Signal Compression and Source coding
  • Error detection and correction
