AI Thread Summary
The dimension of a graphical model refers to the number of variables or parameters that define its structure. In the context of saturated models, it typically indicates the maximum complexity or the highest degree of interaction among variables. Understanding the dimension requires context, as the term "model" can vary widely in meaning across different mathematical fields. Resources that explain specific types of modeling can clarify the use of terms like "dimension" and "saturated." Providing context is essential for accurate interpretation in discussions about graphical models.

Can someone tell me what is the "dimension" of a model?
For example, the dimension of a saturated model.
thanks

I suggest you give a link that explains the kind of modeling your are doing and shows where you find the terms "dimension"and "saturated". In mathematics, the term "model" isn't specific unless you give some context.for it.

I was reading documentation about the soundness and completeness of logic formal systems. Consider the following $$\vdash_S \phi$$ where ##S## is the proof-system making part the formal system and ##\phi## is a wff (well formed formula) of the formal language. Note the blank on left of the turnstile symbol ##\vdash_S##, as far as I can tell it actually represents the empty set. So what does it mean ? I guess it actually means ##\phi## is a theorem of the formal system, i.e. there is a...
