I kinda hate McDonalds and prefer Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I've noticed something strange, those who like McDonalds hate KFC and vice versa!
So I started a poll as to who likes which food.

And which is your favorite food?

Boy that was fast! I create a poll for this thread and I submit it. I see Smurf's reply!

I don't like junk food; you never know what goes into it. If eating out I prefer to go to a restaurant or better yet, eat a good home cooked meal.

Who knows what goes into your store bought food :P

I eat it with the full knowledge that this is probably utterly crap food for me. But hey it tastes good, is fast, and is open 24/7. Like all things in life, you give a little, you take a little.

haha i just made a good saying "There is no 5 second rule for fast food, you're too late anyways"

This after dropping a fry :P

I hate all the fast food joints, although i like a dona kebeb with lots of chili sauce amd pickled chili.

Haven't been to McDonalds in YEARS, seriously. I did like it when I was little (8-10 years old maybe) though. Only later did I realize how disgusting their food is.

I don't really care for McDonalds. Occasionally it's there and it's convenient but every time I eat it I remember exactly why I steer away from it.
The only fast food that I can stand really is mexican fast food like Del Taco and sometimes Taco Bell. If I can help it I would generally go for more authentic mexican food from a hole in the wall taqueria.
Other than that I like chinese, japanese, italian, and thai mainly.
I don't like fried chicken, don't care for burgers... pretty much the majority of common "american" cuisine I don't care for.
(yes I know that most of the foods I eat are americanized versions of the original cuisine thanks )
Sometimes I indulge in a hot dog and I really love cheese steak sandwiches but that's about it.

---edit---

Oooo and I like gumbo, jambalaya, and that sort of thing. Some of the more specialised "american" cuisine.

I really love KFC's Zinger Burger, they put cool mayonaise(I donno how to spell it) and hot chicken piece with a green leaf. Its so excellent, that my saliva is dripping on the keyboard as I type this.
Unfortunately KFC is not there in India and so I can eat it only on my annual trip to Malaysia

I was so inundated with fried foods in my childhood that they really don't apeal to me much any more.
What kind of food did you grow up with?
I've only had indian cuisine once. It was mostly curries.

Nothing beats good home made food like Idlies or Dosas with Chutney and Sambar.

Hmm.. McDonalds

It's kind of convenient in the middle of a 3 hour drive on a highway. That's the only time I've been in it, though I'm not too picky. That said, I'm willing to take donations of some of that lauded home-made food, being a poor college student

I like McDonald's, but the poll is like asking if you like an Accord or a Rolls Royce. Yeah, of course I'd prefer the Rolls, but I'll still buy the Honda first.

I like all of them, but my preference is for homemade ethnic foods (last week we had a wonderful Indian dinner because one of my colleagues wanted our post-doc to teach him how to cook Indian, so we all benefitted from the lesson. Yummy! :approve:)

KFC is craving food. MacDonalds is comfort food.

As chound pointed out there is a LOT of variety in Indian cusine.
In the North, the most common dishes are chapatis or rotis with the side dishes being the dals and curries.
In the South, the main dishes are usually rice-based with sambhar, rasam or curd. A lot of different vegetables are also served along with the rice. If you see any vegetarian Indian restaurant do try out some of these dishes.

Siddharth have you gone to Saravan Bhavan?
I just love their masala rava dosa!
They make it evenly thick and uniformly crispy.
