SUMMARY

The heating efficiency of domestic induction heaters, electric resistance heaters, domestic geysers, and microwave ovens is fundamentally based on their energy consumption measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). According to user russ_watters, all non-heat pump electric heaters, including electric resistance heaters, operate at an efficiency of 100%. This means that for heating 1 liter of water, the energy consumed will be equivalent to the energy output, making these methods efficient in terms of energy usage.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of heating efficiency metrics
  • Knowledge of energy consumption calculations in kilowatt-hours (kWh)
  • Familiarity with different heating technologies: induction cooktops, electric resistance heaters, domestic geysers, and microwave ovens
  • Basic principles of thermodynamics related to heat transfer
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the energy consumption of induction cooktops versus electric resistance heaters
  • Investigate the efficiency ratings of domestic geysers
  • Learn about the energy consumption of microwave ovens for heating water
  • Explore the impact of heat pump technology on heating efficiency
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for homeowners, energy efficiency advocates, and anyone interested in comparing the energy consumption of various domestic heating appliances.

What is the heating efficiency of a domestic induction heater as compared to a simple electrical heater and microwave oven? Please give comparison on the basis of Kilowatt hour consumed.

"russ_watters has just replied-Any non heat pump electric heater has an efficiency of 100%."
Let me put my problem clearly: If I heat up 1 litre of water by 4 means- induction cook top, electric resistance heater, domestic geyser and microwave oven, then what kilowatt hour will I consume?

What is the context of the question? Is this for schoolwork?

Sorry, I had replied and then deleted since my answer was wrong in the context of the question.
