Electrolysis for Generating Hydrogen: Best Conductor?

I'm trying to use electrolysis to generate hydrogen. I was wondering, what would be the best material to use for the conductor (the exposed part in the water, which generates the bubbles). I know graphite can be used, but what else that will not contaminate the hydrogen. Thanks!
