Hey all,

I'm a second shot student trying to get into ga tech through the Georgia perimeter RETP program. I messed up my first round at northern Illinois university and I'm currently trying to redeem myself. Always loved maths and physics but never applied myself the way I should have. Just ended my semester with an A in calculus 2 (after failing it twice and not being able to move forward, again i didn't apply myself on my first go around) and I'm pretty confident I can move forward with my education just as strongly.

My goals are a bit of a toss up. I'd like to work in NASA, because who wouldn't, or I'd like to build prosthesis. So I guess most of my questions will pertain to "what am I going to do with my life". I'm here to ask, observe and learn.

Cheers!

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...

I've been fascinated by the wonders of the universe for as long as I can remember, and I'm excited to join this community to deepen my understanding and engage in insightful discussions. Background: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, and my journey into physics began during my academic years. Over time, my interest has expanded to various areas, including: Classical Mechanics: Exploring the foundational...
