Hey there, my name is Derek and I'm currently studying for my major in Robotic Engineering and minor in Astronomy. I look forward to some constructive discussions and hopefully we can all learn a thing or two :)

Welcome to PF!

How are your two interests connected? Are you thinking of building a remote controlled telescope?

Heh, something like that. I think space exploration and robotics are going to be close friends in the future. Electro-mechanical systems can operate in places that would be incredibly dangerous and/or unfeasible for humans to work. Just think of the tech that goes into crafts like the ISS or the Mars rovers; definitely an area to be expanded upon in the coming decades.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
