Hi All

My name is Neil. Long ago in the late 1980's I graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Manchester, UK. Didn't work hard enough in those days as I was young and easily distracted. Physics never truly left me though, and through reading layperson's books such as those by John Gribben and more recently by to Lee Smolin's that interest is still there. I found this forum while trying to wrap my head around shape dynamics and loop quantum gravity. So I'm looking forward to exploring this forum.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
