AI Thread Summary
Eye donation primarily involves cornea donation, not the entire eye, meaning recipients do not inherit the donor's eye color since the iris is not included. Currently, whole eye transplants are not possible, and corneal transplants are the standard procedure. Despite a strong cultural emphasis on eye donation, misconceptions and myths deter many potential donors. With the second largest population of corneal blind individuals, increasing awareness can significantly impact lives. Promoting accurate information about eye donation can help encourage more people to participate in this life-changing act.

My teacher said eye donation is actually cornea donation. So,it doesn't mean if the donor had green eyes ,the recipient would get green eye after donation.Because iris is not donated which is responsible for color of eyes.
