My favourite cakes are strong flavoured, ginger, chocolate, and heavy, none of your fairy cakes for me, and i do not like marzipan , icing, cream or jam in or on cakes.
Another of my favorites is a solid fruit cake, so anyone have some recipes?
PS, i like using molasses in cakes.

My mum always makes a be-ro christmas cake. Its the best fruit cake I've tasted. Of course you don't have to ice it.
