A nano-wire is a nanoscale wire, i.e. for conducting electricity which would be a great help for the creation of nanoscale electronics. A DNA nano-wire is simply a nano-wire made from DNA. There are several advantages that DNA nano-wires could have, mainly the manufacturing ease and low cost that using DNA could bring. There are various unsolved problems with this type of technology, this paper examines how useful a short section of DNA could be and highlights some challenges:
