Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around a problem related to an ADS (Advanced Design System) electromagnetic simulation. Participants explore issues regarding schematic and layout configurations within the simulation environment.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation
  • Conceptual clarification

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests to see the Netlist View and inquires about the purpose of P1.
  • Another participant shares a resolution to their issue, indicating that having a schematic in the same cell as the layout while attempting to simulate in a different cell caused problems. They resolved it by deleting the extra schematic.
  • A third participant expresses gratitude, indicating that the shared information was also beneficial to them.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants appear to agree on the importance of schematic and layout configurations, but the discussion does not present any competing views or unresolved issues.

TL;DR
Hi all,

I'm new to ADS, so I followed a youtube video in designing a Wilkinson power divider to Co Simulate. I was able to get through the EM simulation part, but I am getting the following error in the schematic simulation portion:

"There is no corresponding terminal for `P1' in the netlisted view "

Any help will be much appreciated.

Can you show the Netlist View? What is P1 supposed to be?

Thank you for responding. Someone helped me and it turned out I had a schematic created in the same cell as the layout, and in the meantime I was trying to simulate the testbench in a schematic in a different cell, and apparently that is not okay. Deleting the extra/empty schematic in the EM layout cell solved my problem.

Thanks,

Tadeh
