How can joining a forum benefit an aspiring engineer in the defense industry?

My name is Liam Ryan and I am working in the defense industry and training to be an engineer. I am studying for an HND in mechanical engineering and I thought that joining a forum like this might assist in the, sometimes, head-bending world of physics and maths. I also think it might help in some analysis of design issues which I hope would be interesting for others as concepts arise and also help me in finding the best way to tackle problems going forward.

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
