Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the mechanics and functionality of liquid dispensing systems, specifically focusing on the JFISNAR liquid dispensing system. Participants explore the operation of syringes in these systems, the potential for achieving a steady flow rate, and the use of linear stepper motors for producing consistent linear motion.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Technical explanation
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant inquires about how the syringe in the JFISNAR system is actuated to dispense liquid and whether it can maintain a steady flow rate.
  • Another participant introduces the concept of "linear stepper motor method" and questions its ability to produce steady linear motion, seeking further information on this technology.
  • A different participant suggests that the dispensing system may operate as a positive displacement pump, speculating on the type of pump used but indicating uncertainty about whether it is rotary or piston-based.
  • There is a reiteration of the inquiry about steady linear motion, with an emphasis on the control and repeatability of stepper motors, which are commonly used in manufacturing applications.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express various viewpoints regarding the operation of the liquid dispensing system and the characteristics of linear stepper motors. No consensus is reached on the specifics of the dispensing mechanism or the definitions of "steady" motion.

Contextual Notes

Participants do not provide definitive answers regarding the mechanics of the JFISNAR system or the performance of linear stepper motors, leaving several assumptions and technical details unresolved.

Who May Find This Useful

Individuals interested in liquid dispensing technologies, motor control systems, and those seeking to understand the mechanics behind positive displacement pumps may find this discussion relevant.

Hi all.
I am finding information about liquid dispensing system.
I got the following website:
http://www.ijfisnar.com/dispensers_jb1113.htm
I would hope to know how the syringe is "pressed" to dose the liquid inside the syringe?

Do you think this system can provide a steady flow rate?

I can't really tell, but I would have to say that it is a positive displacement pump set up. The dispensing time is very slow. Whether it be a rotary pump like a grotor type or a piston type pump I really can't tell. I bet if you called and asked they'd be more than happy to answer your questions. Suppliers are usually quite accommodating if it means a sale.

by the way, have u guys ever heard "linear stepper motor method"?
what's that?Is that something we can produce steady linear motion?
I found this term from here:

I am actually looking also for a motor that can produce steady linear motion, any idea?
What do you mean by "steady?" The big selling point of most stepper motors is their control and repeatability. That is why they are used extensively in the manufacturing sector. Plenty of people make linear motors and linear stepper motors.
