How Far Behind a Mirror Is an Image Created by a Flat Mirror?

Click For Summary
The image created by a flat mirror is located at the same distance behind the mirror as the object is in front of it. This means if an object is 5 feet away from the mirror, the image appears to be 5 feet behind the mirror. The image is referred to as a virtual image because it cannot be projected onto a screen; it only appears to exist behind the mirror. The discussion highlights the straightforward nature of reflections in flat mirrors and the concept of virtual images. Understanding these principles is essential for grasping basic optics.

Nvm, I got it.

The book claims the answer is that all the magnitudes are the same because "the gravitational force on the penguin is the same". I'm having trouble understanding this. I thought the buoyant force was equal to the weight of the fluid displaced. Weight depends on mass which depends on density. Therefore, due to the differing densities the buoyant force will be different in each case? Is this incorrect?
