How to set the frequency of a switch in NI Multisim software

Click For Summary
To set the switching frequency in NI Multisim, users must utilize a transistor due to the interactive nature of the switches. By applying a Clock Voltage to the transistor's source, the desired frequency can be achieved. For a frequency of 50 Hz, users should configure the clock voltage source accordingly. This method allows for precise control over the switching frequency in a buck converter design. Understanding this approach is essential for effective simulation in Multisim.

I am a new user of Multisim and I am trying to make a buck converter. In other softwares, such as pspice I was able to control the switching frequency by editing properties but in Multisim, most of the switches are user interactive. I want to set frequency of 50 Hz in a switch. Kindly help me out.

Thank you

Yeah I came to know the answer. Since in Multisim, the switches are interactive in nature so, in order to set the switching frequency, we have to use a transistor and apply a Clock Voltage to its source. We can then set the desired frequency in clock voltage source and get the required output.

I am trying to understand how transferring electric from the powerplant to my house is more effective using high voltage. The suggested explanation that the current is equal to the power supply divided by the voltage, and hence higher voltage leads to lower current and as a result to a lower power loss on the conductives is very confusing me. I know that the current is determined by the voltage and the resistance, and not by a power capability - which defines a limit to the allowable...
