A machine that un-ionizes the air in your home. How would it remove particles that have charge out of the air?

That's pretty straight forward, isn't it? There are a set of plates, alternating positive and negative charge. There is a fan that directs air through the plates. Any charged particle is attracted to the plates of oppositte charge and "stick" there.
