I am a licensed Master Electrician with only a GED for formal education, but am excited to see if I can learn some knowledge essential to completing a 12 KW DC power supply.
I'm utilizing an SCR power controller to change the voltage feeding the primary of a 240/120 Volt 60 Hz 15KVA power transformer. That in turn goes through a 100A fuse and into a full-wave bridge rectifier. Here is where I am struggling. I cannot figure out what values for capacitors and inductors to allow for a nearly ripple free DC power supply of 120-140 VDC at nearly 100 Amps. Any ideas from you most knowledgeable individuals?

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
so, I figured I needed some help when I started high school, I really am interested in science, tech, skilled trades, and construction, so since this place is a forum page about physics and stuff, I thought this place can help me out for the next 4 years I'm here for
I really like reading about scientific progress, and looking for somewhere I might be able to ask questions interactively with similar people, and experts who might like to explain concepts I don't quite understand.
