What are the possible ways ,we can increase the popularity of pf ..:-p

it will be nice if we can have more grimes and bears ..


like we can have a signature statement in our mails which references to Pf..but i am thinking what it can be??

PF is already preatey popular there 30,000 members and hundreds o active members.
 
yeah you are right and i am myself big fan of pf...but i am talking about increasing(with a greator slope) and i think all of us must do something about it..

As some one said in another thread, bringing more people brings more crackpots. The best way would be to tell your friends about PF...

one thing that would help would be to decide who the target audience is. I've stopped coming around as much because a thread I started about viagra was deleted and I was given a warning which I didn't feel was warranted. I'll admit the thread wasn't something a 5 year old should read, but if the reader was over 16 I don't see what could have been offensive. I don't want to see pornography here, but a prudish attitude is just as unappealing.

Maybe you should discuss this with Greg or whoever gave you the warning.

Well, you do realize that you high jacked the thread.

I do realize that lots of people high jack threads, but I find it to get annoying sometimes especially when the topic can be interesting. You can high jack it after 3 pages. After 3 pages, the discussion is probably exhausted by then.

Note: Actually you didn't really high jack it. Just got personal I guess.

The target audience is obviously nerdy kids at universities, profs who are passionate about their career, and the regular layman who seems to enjoy science.

It is the very mission of all PFers to hijack, kidnap, derail, sabotage, or otherwise maime and destroy all threads in GD in a tasteful and witty manner.

That wouldn't work as well as you would think because you are only a PF Mentor now. When you were a Super Mentor (back in the day), girls would have fallen at your feet. Now you are just like the rest of them. So it's your fault. :-p

A better solution would be to put to change the web address to "freebeerand(wo)men.com" or something and watch the punters fly in. Just have disclaimer at the bottom saying that there is no beer and if there was, it wouldn't be free. Job done.
