AI Thread Summary
A text-based index for the forum Insights is proposed to improve navigation, as the current category classification is not user-friendly for finding specific content. Users express difficulty in determining whether content is categorized as a "Guide," "FAQ," or "Article." Suggestions include adding a link to the sitemap in the pull-down menu for easier access. Recent improvements have been made, including a revamped index page with tabbed categories and an authors page. These enhancements are expected to increase user engagement with the Insights section.

It would be useful to have a mostly text based index for the forum Insights. (If there is one already, I haven't discovered it.)

The current classification by categories has pretty pages, but when I'm looking for something, I don't know if it is classified as a "Guide", a "FAQ" or an "Article" etc.

hmmm we have a text list here
https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/sitemap/

Otherwise search could work.

Can the link to that page be added to the pull-down list that you get when hovering over INSIGHTS at the top of the page?

Ditto.

Clicking the insights link (not a category in the drop down) will take you to the homepage. Just making sure that is known :)
