Hello there people! I'm new here as I'm new to math and physics. I began studying math a week ago (thanks to the wonderful thread created by micromass about self-studying maths). I study philosophy, but I love maths and theoretical physics (although I can only read at a divulgation level, that's why I want to learn from the very basics). I'm sorry for you because I will ask a lot of things and I won't be able to help for a few year until I get to know something .

Víctor.

I'm glad my thread was the motivation for you studying math. Please do let me know if there's anything else you want me to write about.

Much luck in your studies!

Thank you both for the welcome, it's a pleasure to be here! I hope I will learn a lot from you, and maybe someday I can contribute too.

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
