TL;DR
Can I step up watts using some kind of transformer ?
Hello, if I have an available amount of Joules say 10 I believe I can produce 10 watts for 1 second.

Is it possible to use some kind of step up system using my available 10 Joules to step up to 20 watts but for only 0.5 seconds ? And so on like a kind of electrical ratio system.

Can you think of anything that can be used to store electrical energy and release it later?

Or if this does not need to be electrical energy, think about what a water tower does.

I can't store it to build it up because I only have the available energy. All I can do is reduce the time to output the electricity.

What does a rechargeable battery do? Or a capacitor?
If I have an available 10 w of 1 second, if I had a capacitor or battery with 100% efficiency I could store 10 w. Could I discharge it at 20 w for 0.5 seconds ?

Just as an example obviously the efficiency won't be 100 %

Yes I've just confirmed it, thanks very much
