Hi,

I am looking to develop a device that would take a single laser beam, and split that one beam into x number of new beams and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could accomplish this.

I was thinking I would need some kind of crystal specifically shaped to produce the results I need. The problem with that is I am not sure where I would get such a crystal developed. I was hoping I could take some kind of cheap cubic zirconia and alter it myself, but again I've no idea where I would start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you done a web search on beam splitting? Such mirrors are in common use.
