TCPmon by sysinternals

http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/tdimon.html

Or if you need to get to a lower level use ethereal

http://www.ethereal.com/

Which is a network protocol anayser...

Personal firewalls are a waste of time, imo.. they offer little security and just make the common user paranoid... with there popups everytime there is any normal network chatter

1. What is a "little program" for monitoring internet access?

A "little program" is a small software application designed to track and record when other programs attempt to access the internet. It can provide information on which programs are requesting internet access, when they are making these requests, and what type of internet activity is being requested.

2. How does this program work?

This program works by monitoring network traffic and recording any attempts by other programs to access the internet. It can also track which ports are being used and the destination of the internet requests. The program can then display this information in a user-friendly interface for easy monitoring.

3. Why is it important to monitor internet access?

Monitoring internet access can help identify any suspicious or unauthorized activity on your computer. It can also help you keep track of which programs are using the internet and how often, which can be helpful for troubleshooting network or performance issues.

4. Is this program secure?

Yes, this program is designed with security in mind. It does not collect any personal information or sensitive data, and it does not require access to your personal files. It simply monitors network activity and displays the information in an organized manner.

5. Is this program compatible with all operating systems?

This program is compatible with most operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. However, some features may vary depending on the specific operating system and its settings.
