To create a .PPS file from a .PPT in MS PowerPoint 2002, users should select "Save As" and then choose the .PPS format from the file type options. The .PPS option is not prominently displayed, which can make it easy to overlook. Some users have expressed frustration at not finding it immediately. It's important to navigate through the file type list carefully to locate the .PPS format. This process allows for the presentation to be saved in a format that opens directly as a slideshow.
