Hi, I am new here and this is going to be my first post. I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and I am absolutely fascinated by control engineering. I want to know whether I should take advanced math courses in order to better prepare myself for a PhD in Control Engineering. By advanced courses I mean courses like analysis, ODE, PDE, complex analysis, statistics, etc. What kind of maths is required for control engineering (please list them)? Do you think I should focus on math courses or focus on taking more control theory courses?
