Mirror coating and BSDF measurement costs?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the cost estimation for an epoxy/polycarbonate substrate diffuser film and BSDF measurement services for mirror-coated films. The user is seeking a specific film size of 100x100mm and inquires about pricing for low-volume orders. Additionally, they request BSDF measurements to analyze surface scatter angles across various wavelengths. Participants suggest that the user clarify their requirements and consider consulting with a representative from Luminit for more tailored advice. Overall, the conversation emphasizes the need for detailed specifications to obtain accurate cost estimates.

I need an epoxy/polycarbonate substrate diffuser film similar to this one https://www.luminitco.com/products/light-shaping-diffusers mirror and hard coated. I have two films sized 100x100mm each (3.93x3.93 inches or 5.57'' diagonal ). I have no idea what this will cost. What's the expected cost at these low volumes?

Additionally, I need the same or another firm to perform BSDF measurement on the mirror coated film to determine the surface scatter angle based on angle of incidence of incoming beam in a range of 0-35 degrees in about 5 degree increments and with a different R,G,B wavelength (wavelengths to use contsrained by available color laser diodes). What will a service such as this cost?

Thank you.

What are you trying to do??...I have done similar work but have no idea what you actually need
You should solidify your plans and talk to a rep at luminit (although I don't think they are what you need)
You will need to be much more descriptive.

Thread 'A quartet of epi-illumination methods'
Well, it took almost 20 years (!!!), but I finally obtained a set of epi-phase microscope objectives (Zeiss). The principles of epi-phase contrast is nearly identical to transillumination phase contrast, but the phase ring is a 1/8 wave retarder rather than a 1/4 wave retarder (because with epi-illumination, the light passes through the ring twice). This method was popular only for a very short period of time before epi-DIC (differential interference contrast) became widely available. So...
I am currently undertaking a research internship where I am modelling the heating of silicon wafers with a 515 nm femtosecond laser. In order to increase the absorption of the laser into the oxide layer on top of the wafer it was suggested we use gold nanoparticles. I was tasked with modelling the optical properties of a 5nm gold nanoparticle, in particular the absorption cross section, using COMSOL Multiphysics. My model seems to be getting correct values for the absorption coefficient and...
