Need Help in Proving Trig Identities

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around a student seeking help with proving two trigonometric identities: sec(θ) + tan(θ) = tan(θ)sec(θ) and sin²(θ) - tan(θ) = tan²(θ) - cos²(θ). The student expresses difficulty in starting the problems despite understanding fundamental identities. Respondents emphasize the importance of showing work and following the homework posting template to facilitate assistance. The student acknowledges completing other homework but struggles specifically with these two identities. Overall, the conversation highlights the need for clear communication of attempts to receive effective help.

Well, what have you tried? You must show some work before we can help you. What happened to the homework posting template in which one is supposed to write one's attempts?
