I'm a retired Professor and Dean from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

My doctorate is in Evolutionary Biology and Evolutionary Theory; my Master's is in Paleobiology; my second Bachelor's is in Anthropology and Mathematics; and my first Bachelor's in in Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, and Logic.

My interests are fairly wide, especially in retirement, and include most areas of science; formal, codified systems of information (such as natural and artificial language, DNA, mathematics, formal logic, and music); literature; and Classical Mythology.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
