AI Thread Summary
Two new options have been added to user profiles, allowing members to exclude Usenet posts and News Reporter posts from their 'New Posts' searches. This feature enables users to refine their search results by omitting these specific types of threads, while still allowing them to appear in other search categories. The update aims to enhance the user experience by providing more control over the content displayed in 'New Posts'. Users are encouraged to provide feedback if they encounter any issues with the new options. This enhancement is designed to streamline the search process for forum members.

Hello all,

I have added two options to the Options sections of your profiles. These two options can be used to exclude Usenet posts and News Reporter posts from your 'New Posts' searches.

In other words, if you choose to exclude these kinds of 'special' threads, they will not appear in your 'New Posts' search. They will still appear in other kinds of searches, however.

Enjoy! Let me know if it gives you any trouble.

Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
