SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the visibility of different colors of light from the farthest distance, highlighting that human eye sensitivity peaks at approximately 550 nm, which corresponds to green light. Yellow light is also noted for its visibility, but it is the green wavelength that is most effectively perceived by the human eye. The sensitivity of various sensors to different light frequencies is acknowledged, indicating that visibility can vary based on the observer's characteristics.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of visible light spectrum and wavelengths
  • Knowledge of human eye anatomy and physiology
  • Familiarity with color perception theories
  • Basic principles of light and optics
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the human eye's sensitivity to different wavelengths of light
  • Explore the physics of light propagation in various environments
  • Learn about color perception and its psychological effects
  • Investigate the capabilities of different sensors in detecting light frequencies
USEFUL FOR

Individuals interested in optics, color science, and human physiology, including educators, students, and researchers in fields related to vision and light perception.

Welcome to PF, U2_wa.
The answer to your question is primarily dependent upon who or what is doing the observing. Different sensors have different ranges of sensitivity to various frequencies.

Yellow. I believe that's the human eyes' most sensitivity to "color"

Human eye sensitivity is actually peaked in the green, ~550nm.

Thanks. I learn something new each day, especially here at PF!

Some people perceive 550 nm as a greenish yellow/yellowish green.
