SUMMARY

Georgia Tech (Ga Tech) remains a prominent institution for research in power engineering and artificial intelligence (AI) in North America. The university's dedicated energy research website highlights various areas, including "Energy Policy and Economics," which may appeal to students pursuing a minor in Economics alongside Electrical Engineering (EE). While the discussion notes the historical strength of Ga Tech in these fields, further verification of its current standing is encouraged. Engaging with local professors and recent research authors is recommended for prospective students seeking updated information.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of power engineering principles
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications in engineering
  • Knowledge of academic research methodologies
  • Basic awareness of energy policy and economics
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Georgia Tech's current programs in power engineering and AI
  • Explore recent publications in energy policy and economics

What are some good universities in the fields of power engineering and AI in North America for higher education, masters or phd?

I guess I can contact my local professors to find about it or get myself familiar with recent developments and contact the authors. So far, I only been trying find information from google but have not found something good.

Thanks!

At one point Ga Tech was good at both, but I don't know if that's still true.

There are too many good names but I didn't get impression that they focus on power let alone combination of power and AI.

Ga Tech has impressive website:

One of the areas is "Energy Policy and Economics". I am doing Economics minor along with my EE and that opens interesting another possibility.
