Hi there,

First post here, kinda feel as though my hand should be raised as I have a question.

The questions are ...

How much force could a bimetallic strip exert when heated? Would it matter how thick the strip was?

Thanks for answering.

Welcome to PF, Alex.
Your question as written is far too vague. What metals? What temperature range? They all make a difference..

Oh OK ...

A standard mix of metals, copper and iron are usually bonded together (I think?) the temperature range would from 150deg F +
