Ok ill see your moon in different time zones and raise you some stars and a rotating galaxy in my office.

Generated by this little fella. One of the ladies bought for her son and wanted to try it out in my office as I can cut out all ambient light.

Once they switched it on they realised I was going to claim it.

I've had many acoustic guitars in my lifetime, but I've never carried one around quite like that. I suspect the person is gripping the guitar through the sound hole. But I'm not sure.
Maybe their right arm is a lot longer than normal? Lol. Seriously though, before I read your post I thought the exact same thing. I'm certainly no guitar expert but I know enough to say that picture look odd.

The gear (camera and lens with almost 100mm extension tubes mounted) looked pretty weird,
far from compact and discreet :

This morning I walked downtown for the Christmas parade. The weather wasn't great, but there was a good turnout, with people tailgating in parking lots along the route near downtown.

Here it comes, with the mayor and a city councilman leading the way.

These are just samples. The whole thing took almost an hour. Not bad for a town of about 8500.

No, the Savannah River Plant is off to my left, about 90° and maybe 90 miles.

I recently bought a new camera, Sony A6500 (second hand) which is a significant upgrade from Sony A6000.
I got it because (1) it's got In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) and (2) I wanted to be able to film in 4K resolution. It's also got better autofocus.

IBIS is good because it provides stabilization even if you shoot with lenses which haven't got in-built stabilization, which is the case for most of my lenses. This helps reducing blur from camera shake in general, but particularly in low light settings. It also helps with getting more smooth (non-shaky) video.

A couple of photos from my first session with the camera, shot when it was dark outside:

And two shots of the camera itself:

I'll probably get a full frame camera with IBIS and 4K video too, but I'm going to wait a while
until the prices get a bit lower .

Back in the 1970's I spent a January in a small student apartment in Cambridge, Mass. Just a few blocks from the NECCo "factory." Overnight I could smell the candies cooking: one night chocolate, the next night licorice, then orange...

Gosh, amazing colors on that photo! Incredibly vibrant, almost neon-like. 🙂
And very nice reflections in the pond too.

Yes, it was (partially) illuminated with their red & green, holiday lighting. For other times of the year it wouldn't be quite so vibrant.

Hehe, I found a larger bass drum than yours (in case you want an even larger ).
I was looking for various ways to play the orchestral/concert bass drum for a song project I am working on, and found this video... this bass drum is giant :
