Hello, my name is Elke and I am an undergrad in California. I have recently rediscovered my love for physics (specifically astrophysics and quantum physics). My grandfather was one of the first aerospace engineers and we used to talk all day about astrophysics when I was young. Now I have decided to embark on my own personal journey of attempting to learn as much as possible about it. I am currently undergrad for biomedical engineering/pre-med. I am at a crossroad as I can't if I want to major in physics or biomedical engineering, but I have a year until I need to decide. I am a total and complete nerd and love everything about it!

I can't wait to get to know everyone and expand my knowledge through this forum! Thank you all for sharing your vast knowledge of science!

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
