AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around nostalgia for Mario games and the desire to play Super Mario 64, which the user has never experienced. They own a GameCube but not a Nintendo 64 and discovered that Super Mario 64 was re-released on the Game Boy. After winning an auction for a GameCube accessory to play Game Boy games, they realized the game is actually for the Nintendo DS, not the Game Boy Advance. This led to confusion about compatibility, specifically whether DS games can be played on the GameCube or if they fit into the memory card slot. The conversation also touches on the PSP but does not provide a definitive answer regarding compatibility. The user is seeking guidance on how to proceed with their situation.

Ah man. I was thinking about all the great times I have had playing mario games when I was younger, and I was wishing that there was a new super mario brothers adventure game that I had not played yet, and I realized that I have never played Mario 64. Everyone says that is the best one too.
I have a GameCube, but no Nintendo 64. So I thought about how I could play this game without purchasing a 64, and I read that they re-released this game on the game boy. So I went to ebay to buy one of those add on pieces of hardware that allows you to play gameboy games on your gamecube. So I won the auction, and I just realized that this mario game is for the gameboy DS, not the gameboy ADVANCE!
I don't want it now. What do I do?

DS games look like they fit into the memory card slot. Are DS games compatible with Gamecube?

Frito had purchased a snack food plant near Lima, Peru, and sent me down to oversee the upgrades to the systems and the startup. Peru was still suffering the ills of a recent civil war and I knew it was dicey, but the money was too good to pass up. It was a long trip to Lima; about 14 hours of airtime...
