Steady state responses clarification of problem

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on clarifying the differences between two questions related to steady state responses in a mass-spring-damper system. The user understands how to find the steady state response for variable x but is uncertain if the second question pertains specifically to the first and fourth elements of the Xss matrix. Additional context is requested to better understand the questions posed. The conversation highlights the need for clearer problem definitions to facilitate accurate responses. Overall, the focus remains on understanding steady state responses in the context of the given system.

I am trying to understand what the difference in the two questions (linked) are. I understand how to find the steady state response for x. Is the second question just asking for the first and fourth element in the Xss matrix?

Homework Equations

I think you will have to give more information of what these questions are talking about. I certainly have no idea. What is the context?
