What are the benefits of studying Engineering Physics and Economics in college?

I am currently a senior in high school hoping to study Engineering Physics and Economics in college. I am taking Calculus I at a local college and doing a college-level Physics text for high school Physics, both of which led me to discover this forum. :) I look forward to browsing through the forums on here! This looks like a very informative place.
