What are the benefits of studying physics at the university level?

I'm not sure I really belong here yet but I thought I'd sign up because of my interest in physics.

I am currently an A Level student awaiting my results, hopefully going on to study Physics at Nottingham University in September :)

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics.
