What are the best majors to pursue for a career in meteorology and research?

I'm christian, I go to a community college and majoring in Geology and Mathematics. My plan is to go to Penn State and major in Meteorology and mathematics. My dream is to become a leader of a research team at NOAA or anywhere that deals with research. If you have any recommendations, I will appreciate it.

The math I'm taking is college algebra & trigonometry. My goal before I transfer is to reach linear algerba :)
