I am a research assistant working in genetics at Stanford University. I love medicine and am studying to meet the pre-medical requirements in this country (my coursework from England is not accepted by US medical schools).

I have not taken Physics since high school, and at that time it was rudimentary. I am very excited about physics right now, particularly the mechanics of atoms and molecules.

I am studying at UC Berkeley extension taking Physics 1 and 2, which are algebra based classes. Very interesting, but too simple. I am trying to teach myself calculus and understand much more than they can teach me, which is why I am here. :)

I am excited to get to know you all :-))

Hi Mike! Welcome to PF! Great to have you here. We have a nice biology and medical science forum too. Maybe you can contribute there :)

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
