Hello,
I'm a philosopher and a (hopefully soon to be published) science fiction writer. I've been interested in physics - and science in general - all of my life, but I'm not a professional scientist. I've had a year of college physics (as well as analytic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and calculus). I was just a couple of classes short of a major in biology before switching to philosophy. My main interests in physics are quantum mechanics, biophysics, and relativity.

If any members of this forum happen to live near Kent, Ohio, I'd love to hear from you!

My central interests in philosophy are philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and philosophy of science. I'm deeply involved in studying the physical basis of consciousness and Artificial Intelligence.

My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
